Halloween In Between

-John Moraga

Halloween is definitively an Ameri-Satanic holiday, but unfortunately, every year self-proclaimed Christians still debate whether it is appropriate to engage in its festivities. Based on my previous life of deep involvement in the occult, I would argue that there should be no debate, and that believers who claim to be redeemed by the blood of Christ, should not insult His atonement by taking part in even a nominal observance of Halloween. The Celtic pagan history of Halloween is well known, so I will not take the time to deliberate that history in this article. However, The Jerusalem Post has provided an intriguingly brief account of Halloween’s origins and observances.

Some people claim that Halloween is simply an innocent time for children and adults to dress-up and assume imaginative alternative identities. It is supposedly a time to get to know the community, by trick-or-treating and feeding children candy. Curiously, Kirk Cameron has tried to defend Halloween and even encourage Christians to enthusiastically celebrate it, but his “apologetics” are extremely misguided. The reality is, just as lightning is attracted to lightning rods and other conductors, in order to disperse its energy, Satan also roams around the earth hunting his prey, in order to infiltrate their minds. Magick, the fruition of Satanism, is the exercising of occult energy: physical, psychological, and spiritual. So, Halloween is the day when millions of Americans become receptors of Satan's wielding. No other day of the year are the consciouses and subconsciouses of the American citizenry more volitionally welcoming to the influences of Satan than Halloween. Actually, the day of Halloween has extended to a season, which seems to keep getting longer in its duration. Weeks prior to the day of Halloween, entertainment venues and shops capitalize on its observance. Countless TV shows and movies focus on Halloween storylines. It is a constant challenge for my wife and I to shield our children from the images of Halloween, when even grocery stores are decorated with witches and ghosts.

My personal experience of Halloween is that it is the “High Holiday” of American occultism. During my days in the occult, the spirit of Halloween was reminiscent of the Christmas spirit I felt as a child. Satanists, Wiccans, sorcerers, and pagans of all variations would become giddy preparing for Halloween. It was a time when occultists throughout Los Angeles came together in comradery and celebration, irrespective of our differences in occult practices. It was “our time.” We could revel in our debauchery and it was essentially condoned by society. In fact, I found it interesting how involved even the Pride (LGBT) community became with Halloween festivities. However, it began to make sense, once I put the pieces together. In addition to the overtly Satanic dangers of Halloween, pedophilia is also a serious concern during this time. People who claim to be born again and new creatures in Christ, should not place themselves in between the world of righteousness and the lair of evil, by rationalizing an innocence of Halloween.
